Kennedy: Scott Brown Candidacy “a Joke”

Posted on 05 February 2010 by Mr. Harrington

Well, Pat, you’re a joke.

Pat Kennedy, son of late, great, Ted Kennedy said,

“Brown’s whole candidacy was shown to be a joke today when he was sworn in early in order to cast his first vote as an objection to Obama’s appointment to the NLRB.”

Hey, Pat, calm down, brother.

You’re just mad that the “special interests”–AMERICANS–have gotten what they want.

Reid: Kennedy Death “Going to Help Us.”

Posted on 01 September 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Folks, in a stunning display of his Democratic insensitivity, Harry Reid said that the death of Senator Ted Kennedy would help the health care movement.

While he may be right, he shouldn’t be right.

The only bill that deserves the posthumous Kennedy name is one that allows for the will to live to be calculated into health care matters.  Kennedy’s will to live was just as great as any other American’s.  Why should he have the luxury of being allowed treatment at his advanced age of 77 for what proved to be terminal brain cancer, when hundreds, thousands, millions of Americans would have to forgo treatment because of rationed government care?  Adding his name to such a bill, or pretending he would have endorsed such a bill, does him, his death, and his name a disservice.

New Video: Barack Obama Admits Government Healthcare Will Eliminate Private Insurance

Posted on 03 August 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Folks, this video includes Barack Obama saying he is for a “single payer system.”  He also says that the government run “public option” will eliminate private insurance.  The video also shows Jan Schakowsky bragging about tearing down the health insurance system–you may remember my post on that earlier this year…

Watch the explosive video here:

UPDATE:  August 4, 2009:

The White House goes to the web to attack the Drudge Report.

Apparently the above video just cherry picked certain statements…but its pretty damning that he said that it will eliminate private insurance…

They’re in damage control here, folks.

Also, I think it is wrong that they are attacking the Drudge Report…calling it “misinformation.”

Oh, and, Happy Birthday, Barry!

Botax

Posted on 27 July 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Botox, face lifts, tummy tucks, hair transplants, etc., may be taxed 10% in order to pay for the $1 trillion health overhaul.

From Congress Daily: “Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucustold reporters he had heard some ‘interesting,’ ‘creative,’ and ‘kind of fun’ ideas.”

Fun taxes?  Is this guy a loon?

The only state that taxes cosmetic surgery is New Jersey.

Billions for Parks and Rec in Healthcare Bill…

Posted on 09 July 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Folks, The healthcare bill–in both the House and Senate–have provisions to spend billions of dollars on “infrastructure.”

Walking paths, lighting for playgrounds, all stem from the healthcare bill.  Uncle Teddy’s handlers said that it is needed to improve the overall livelihood of folks that use the parks.

I call it an excuse to spend more money they don’t have.

The limit for spending in the Senate version of the bill is up to O-Man himself.

The limit for the House version of the bill is $1.6 Billion a year…

And, no, they don’t know where they’re going to get the money.

The group, Trust for America’s Health is behind some of the language in the bill:

The spending is needed to “create the infrastructure to support active living and access to nutritious foods in a safe environment.’’

Obama said that this is needed as “preventative care.”

This is “the largest investment ever in preventive care, because that’s one of the best ways to keep our people healthy and our costs under control.’’

Yeah…you don’t have to do tests anymore…Cuts costs…

Healthcare Pricetag:

Posted on 02 July 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Ladies and gentlemen, drum-roll please…

The cost of Obamacare is…

$611 Billion.

That is $611,000,000,000.

According to CNN, that is, “…far less than previous estimates….”But folks, that is a lot of money.

And, according to a letter written by Senators Chris Dodd and Ted Kennedy, “fully 97 percent of Americans will have coverage.”  Now, I hate to parse language, but…That doesn’t make sense to me…And who gets to be in that three percent?

Sure, it may cost less…but that’s over half a trillion dollars…Who’s gonna pay for it?  Taxing healthcare?  Then people will just go to public insurance, bankrupting the system.
