Well, in the latest WaPo/ABC poll, 33% of those polled were Democrats, and only 20% were Republicans&#8230;

<p><a title="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/polls/postpoll_101909.html" href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/polls/postpoll_101909.html" target="_blank">Well, in the latest WaPo/ABC poll</a>, 33% of those polled were Democrats, and only 20% were Republicans&#8230;</p>

<pre style="font-size: 12px;">           Democrat  Republican  Independent
10/18/09      33         20           42</pre>
</blockquote>
<p>And here is the fuzzy question in question&#8230;</p>
<blockquote>
<p style="font: normal normal normal 12px/normal Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; width: 600px;">8. Would you support or oppose having the government create a new health insurance</p>
<p style="font: normal normal normal 12px/normal Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; width: 600px;">plan to compete with private health insurance plans?</p>
<pre style="font-size: 12px;">           Support      Oppose
10/18/09   57           40</pre>
</blockquote>
<p>The only problem with that question is that private insurance can&#8217;t compete with the government.  It isn&#8217;t possible.  It is fundamentally not possible.</p>
<p>The government does not need to make a profit.  They don&#8217;t have overhead, they don&#8217;t have to meet a budget.  They have the power to tax.  Private insurance does not have that power.</p>
<p>Oh well&#8230;I guess <a title="http://hotair.com/archives/2009/10/20/fox-news-yesterdays-off-the-record-briefing-with-obama-included-olby-and-maddow/" href="http://hotair.com/archives/2009/10/20/fox-news-yesterdays-off-the-record-briefing-with-obama-included-olby-and-maddow/" target="_blank">the Liberal Media can continue to be the lap dogs of the Government</a> as opposed to the guard dogs for the people.</p>
