What Did She Say?

Posted on 01 March 2010 by Mr. Fernandez

Nancy Pelosi seems to have completely changed her ways.  She claimed that the Democrats and the Tea Party movement share some of the views in an interview on ABC News’ Elizabeth Vargas.  This is quite astonishing, to say the least. After she called the Tea Party movement “astroturf” and claimed that it was not a legitimate movement, she claims that the Democrats do, in fact, have some agreements with them.  Not only that, but the issue that they agree on is that special interests have too much power and too much influence in Washington?  How odd.  It may never be known what is going through the head of the Speaker of the House.  But watch the interview and try to decide for yourself.

Pelosi Chokes Up Over Heated Rhetoric

Posted on 17 September 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Folks, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi choked up when asking Americans to “take responsibility for our actions and our words.”

She had this to say about the growing American Dissent (from the Huffington Post):

“I think we all have to take responsibility for our actions and our words. We are a free country and this balance between freedom and safety is one that we have to carefully balance.  I saw, (she choked up here0 I saw this myself in the late seventies in San Francisco. This kind of rhetoric was very frightening and it gave–it created a climate in which violence took place.”

The Huffington Post says she brought up memories of Harvey Milk and Mayor George Moscone…who were both killed “by former supervisor and arch-conservative Dan White.”

Now, While this post isn’t about the Huffington Post’s politics, but that is ridiculous…Dan White was a raving lunatic, not an “arch-conservative…”

Nancy Pelosi went on to say:

“I wish that we all again would curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements that are made, with the understanding that some of the ears this is falling on are not as balanced as the person making the statement might assume.  But I also think they have to take responsibility for any incitement they may cause.”

Well, Madam speaker, the same should go for you…

You can’t call Average Americans “un-American” and not expect some dissent…

PELOSI: "I Don't Care if I'm Despised."

Posted on 27 July 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the most despised woman in the world doesn’t care.

She went on to say, “I don’t know about ‘trust’ — I think I’m trusted.  I certainly want to be trusted. I’m not particularly concerned if I’m liked.”

Folks, she is so blinded by her ideology that she cannot govern with any amount of credibility.  She has lost touch with America, and she doesn’t care.

Politico had this to say:

Her defenders say there’s always been a strong undercurrent of misogyny in the criticism, a charge lent some credence by the sheer mass of anti-Pelosi vitriol in the blogosphere and in the comments section of news outlets such as POLITICO.

Yes, that’s why people hate Bela, because they hate women…not because of her lack of leadership, her inability to do her job, her statements about waterboarding, her unwillingness to read bills before voting…

Maybe the CIA Did Lie to Congress…

Posted on 12 July 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Or maybe the Agency was just doing its job…

Folks, brand new news has come out regarding the CIA, congress, and al Qaeda operatives.

As you may remember, the Congress is kinda mad at the CIA for not informing them of their operations…

And as you may remember, Obama was going to “leave the door open” to prosecuting Bush administration officials.

Apparently, according to some people inside the CIA–and people inside the Wall Street Journal, the CIA had been researching ways to “to achieve a capacity to carry out something that was directed in the finding,” meaning, assassinate key al Qaeda operatives.  Now, as we all know from our Freshman year high school history class, the Ford administration banned assassinations…

The CIA was “acting on a 2001 presidential legal pronouncement, known as a finding, which authorized the CIA to pursue such efforts.”

Now, does the CIA need to inform the congress every time they plan an operation?  No.  But, some are saying they should have because they spend money on the project.  Some estimates say $1 Million to as much as $50 Million.

I find it difficult to imagine that they spent $50 Million because CIA Director, Leon Panetta, terminated the operation when he found out about it in late June.

And, folks, this comes on the heels of Newsweek’s sob story about how Eric Holder must go against his instinct, and the President, and charge Bush administration officials…

Read

Here’s what I think:  The CIA needs a certain amount of freedom when it comes to their operation.  The Congress does not need to be briefed every time a terrorist pees his pants.  Also, it seems as though they were not going to “assassinate” the al Qaeda operatives.

The article reads, “Eventually Mr. Bush issued the finding that authorized the capturing of several top al Qaeda leaders, and allowed officers to kill the targets if capturing proved too dangerous or risky.”

The article reads, “The former official said he had been told that President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney didn’t support such an operation. The effort appeared to die out after about six months.”

It also seems to me that the CIA knew what this program entailed…

The article also says, “The official noted that Congress had long been briefed on the finding, and that the CIA effort wasn’t so much a program as ‘many ideas suggested over the course of years.’ It hadn’t come close to fruition, he added.”

The Congress is trying to implicate Dick “Puppetmaster” Cheney in this whole mess.

CNN contributor and Republican strategist, Mary Matalin, said of Cheney’s alleged involvement in a conspiracy, “Every time they get in trouble . . . they dredge up a Darth Vader story.”

And, apparently, Matalin is married to friend of the Report James Carville.  I’m not a betting man, but I’m willing to wager that he thinks just the opposite…

UPDATE: July 13, 2009:

Fox News is reporting that the Congress was aware of the operation and also approved it.

Fox News is reporting: “This was not a program. It never began,” the former official said. “The authority was given by Congress to develop this idea. … There was no need to brief it. It wasn’t a reality.”

Government to Reign (pardon the pun) in Private Sector Pay

Posted on 11 June 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Yes, folks.  According to Yahoo News, Tim Geithner wants to impose new guidelines for publicly traded companies to better match pay with long-term performance.

He said that he does not want to put caps on the pay…but that sounds like what they’re going to do…but just call it something else.

What gets me about this is how they support unions and a minimum wage…in short, not being paid by your performance, while wanting that for executives…

Developing…

Cheney is More Popular than Pelosi?

Posted on 05 June 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Dick Cheney’s approval rating is 3% higher than that of Nancy Pelosi…

That’s right, folks.  “Dr. Evil” has a higher approval rating than “Queen Bee” Nan.

The Big Man’s approval rating is 37%.

Bela’s approval rating is 34%.

Nancy Pelsosi Wants Us All to Go Green

Posted on 28 May 2009 by Mr. Harrington

“We have so much room for improvement.  Every aspect of our lives must be subjected to an inventory…of how we are taking responsibility.”

Folks, what does that mean?

She’s over in Shanghi or something, preaching to students about how we should become green…

Is that really what the Speaker of the House should be doing?  Especially now, when Barack Obama wants to jam through some climate bills?  And some approval committees?

But, ladies and gentlemen, I feel that this is just a distraction from what is really going on…We should focus on the important issues, like what is really inside the climate bill…

House Voted to Not Investigate Pelosi

Posted on 21 May 2009 by Mr. Harrington

In a 252-172 vote, the House rejected John Boehner’s bid to investigate Nancy Pelosi’s claims.

If you’ve been under a rock for the past two weeks…go here for background…

This really grinds my gears, folks.  They called it a “Republican ploy” to turn attention away from real issues…

Well, folks. This is a real issue…

Queen Bee Pelosi lives to fight another day…
