Pelosi Chokes Up Over Heated Rhetoric

Posted on 17 September 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Folks, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi choked up when asking Americans to “take responsibility for our actions and our words.”

She had this to say about the growing American Dissent (from the Huffington Post):

“I think we all have to take responsibility for our actions and our words. We are a free country and this balance between freedom and safety is one that we have to carefully balance.  I saw, (she choked up here0 I saw this myself in the late seventies in San Francisco. This kind of rhetoric was very frightening and it gave–it created a climate in which violence took place.”

The Huffington Post says she brought up memories of Harvey Milk and Mayor George Moscone…who were both killed “by former supervisor and arch-conservative Dan White.”

Now, While this post isn’t about the Huffington Post’s politics, but that is ridiculous…Dan White was a raving lunatic, not an “arch-conservative…”

Nancy Pelosi went on to say:

“I wish that we all again would curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements that are made, with the understanding that some of the ears this is falling on are not as balanced as the person making the statement might assume.  But I also think they have to take responsibility for any incitement they may cause.”

Well, Madam speaker, the same should go for you…

You can’t call Average Americans “un-American” and not expect some dissent…

HuffPo Wrong About Tea Parties

Posted on 13 September 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Folks, let’s be serious for a moment here, shall we?

One of the latest headlines on HuffPo right now is “Teabaggers’ Ball: Protesters Rally Against Government.”

The Article refers to the protesters as “conservatives.”

The Huffington Post is unable to put the protesters in a box.  The media has created boxes for people:

Conservatives, Right-wing extremists, tea-baggers, rednecks, “The chattering class,” etc,

And when someone doesn’t fit into one of those boxes, they have to do their best to frame the story in such a way that it distorts the truth.

Now, the part about rallying against the government…

The HuffPo People are either too dim to see, or are running scared of, the anger the Average American feels.

These tea parties are not about “limited government” or “protesting against government.”  These events are about Individual Liberty.  Plain and simple.

I like to think that if I were to ask any HuffPo writer if he or she believes in individual liberty, he or she would adamantly say yes.

But, because the Huffington Post is so blinded by Damien’s charisma, they are no longer connected with the American people.

America, the press is a public trust, and when the media fails, we all fail.  When the media is in bed with any administration either ideologically or monetarily, the American people lose.  When it becomes “un-American” to question the government; when the government becomes unjust–by virtue of no longer governing by consent of the governed; or when the government declares itself “God’s partners,” and the media propagates these beliefs and does so without the interests of the citizenry, America, the greatest experiment the world has ever seen, will collapse.

When the media does not properly vet candidates or ideas, America will fail.  End of story.

And, my favorite comment on the HuffPo story…

“What a shame… such a substantial group of disconnected brainstems in one place at the same time, and not enough buses to rush them off for triage and neurological treatment.”

You know, I could say the same thing about HuffPo People…

Sarah Palin Denounces AP Over Released War Photo

Posted on 07 September 2009 by Mr. Fernandez

Sarah Palin today denounced the AP for releasing a photo of a dying Marine, Lance Corporal Joshua Bernard, against his family’s wishes.   It seems however that many Palin haters cannot see through their disdain for the woman and the values she stands for to realize that she is right.  If the family of a dying soldier requested that the photo of their dying son not be released, the AP should have acquiesced.  These Palin haters go on to claim that she has no place speaking out against the AP, citing free speech and freedom of the press as acceptable reasons to release such a photo.  These people disgust me…let’s put these hypocrites on the front lines and see what their families say when a photo of their dying moments surfaces.

See the despicable comments:
