Canada Newspaper: Fix Global Warming by Limiting Population

Posted on 13 December 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Diane-Francis

Maoist and Global Warming Alarmist Diane Francis.

Canada’s Financial Post writer Diane Francis wrote an article called “The real inconvenient truth. The whole world needs to adopt China’s one-child policy.”

“The “inconvenient truth” overhanging the UN’s Copenhagen conference is not that the climate is warming or cooling, but that humans are overpopulating the world.”

“A planetary law, such as China’s one-child policy, is the only way to reverse the disastrous global birthrate currently, which is one million births every four days.”

Read

I contend that this is an argument propagated by socialist-totalitarian-power-grabbers who want the rules to apply to other people…not themselves…

The woman who wrote the above article…has two children…

And the Hypocrite of the year award goes to…

Diane Francis!

“Humans are the only rational animals but have yet to prove it.”

Francis goes on to say that the population fix is “simple” and “dramatic.”

“China has proven that birth restriction is smart policy. Its middle class grows, all its citizens have housing, health care, education and food, and the one out of five human beings who live there are not overpopulating the planet.”

And here comes the fear-mongering to drive the point home!

“For those who balk at the notion that governments should control family sizes, just wait until the growing human population turns twice as much pastureland into desert as is now the case, or when the Amazon is gone, the elephants disappear for good and wars erupt over water, scarce resources and spatial needs.”

Now…I wonder if this power-hungry Maoist is aware that China’s one child policy leads to a higher ratio of baby boys to baby girls being born, child abandonment, and infanticide…

Not to mention that China is the home to a laundry list of human rights violations…

Yes, to this stooge, China is a model society…

Gore Tries to Change the Record

Posted on 09 December 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Big Al tried to falsify the record of the Climategate emails…

Not once…but three times…

Q: How damaging to your argument was the disclosure of e-mails from the Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University?

A: To paraphrase Shakespeare, it’s sound and fury signifying nothing. I haven’t read all the e-mails, but the most recent one is more than 10 years old. These private exchanges between these scientists do not in any way cause any question about the scientific consensus. But the noise machine built by the climate deniers often seizes on what they can blow out of proportion, so they’ve thought this is a bigger deal than it is.

But wait there’s more…

Q: There is a sense in these e-mails, though, that data was hidden and hoarded, which is the opposite of the case you make [in your book] about having an open and fair debate.

A: I think it’s been taken wildly out of context. The discussion you’re referring to was about two papers that two of these scientists felt shouldn’t be accepted as part of the IPCC report. Both of them, in fact, were included, referenced, and discussed. So an e-mail exchange more than 10 years ago including somebody’s opinion that a particular study isn’t any good is one thing, but the fact that the study ended up being included and discussed anyway is a more powerful comment on what the result of the scientific process really is.

These people are examining what they can or should do to deal with the P.R. dimensions of this, but where the scientific consensus is concerned, it’s completely unchanged. What we’re seeing is a set of changes worldwide that just make this discussion over 10-year-old e-mails kind of silly.

Hey, Al!  The latest of the emails was from November 09…

This just goes to show what lengths the Socialist Greenpeople will go to try and take power.

It’s Not Easy Being ‘Green’…

Posted on 04 December 2009 by Mr. Enos

easybeinggreen

Well here’s a new one…

Hollywood conservatives are calling for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to rescind the Oscar they awarded to noted Noble Prize winner-slash-Internet inventor Al Gore in the wake of what many are calling ‘climategate’.

Roger Simon and Lionel Chetwynd issued a statement today calling for the Academy to take back the Oscar that was lavished on Al Gore for his 2007 crap-fest “An Inconvenient  Truth”.

While there’s a snowball’s chance in hell of this actually happening, it does highlight the latest gambit by conservatives to shed light on the Global Warming shemozzle that Al Gore started with his propaganda piece over three years ago.

All this is happening a week before a controversy-laden Climate Change conference in Copenhagen is set to commence where Gore was supposed to deliver a presentation to over 3000 people, but subsequently cancelled. The change in plans is thought to be due in large part to the leaked emails that surfaced this week in which scientists from University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit spoke of manipulating climate data. Republicans in Congress have called for hearings on the subject.

Like the headline says… It sure isn’t easy being green.

Obama Authorizes $2B for Oil Drilling in Brazil

Posted on 20 August 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Barack Obana, in a simply stunning display of disregard for all that is sane, has authorized $2 billion for Brazilian oil drilling…
While were are stuck with windmills and rubberband powered cars, Brazil gets to contribute to global warming… At our expense.

Developing… Details at lunch.

UPDATE: according Brazilian Planning Minister Paulo Bernardo da Silva the U.S. Import-Export bank has already signed a letter of intent to give the money to Brazil to fund hydrocarbon drilling expeditions. How many green jobs will that create? Uhhh… What is zero, Alex?

Failure of the Educational System:

Posted on 17 March 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Ladies and gentlemen; a while back I was sick.  I missed a couple days of school with a fever.  During that time, an assignment was due for my English class.  A proposal about our topic for the year.  My group turned in the proposal without my portion.  The teacher was generally displeased with the class’ work, and asked everyone in the class to redo the essay.  I offered to do the revision because I felt bad about the situation.  I’m glad I did because today when I was revising, I read the version they turned in.  Let me just tell you, it’s horrible.  The only thing worse than this is when Dante tried to print out a video in my Chemistry class during summer school…  Take a look after the jump…

National Security Council Gets New Coat of Paint

Posted on 07 February 2009 by Mr. Harrington

Ladies and Gentlemen, while I agree the NSC could possibly use a revamp–I’m not sure…that’s why I’m not in the NSC, I see one problem with the new plans.

James Jones, a National Security Adviser, said, “The world that we live in has changed so dramatically in this decade that organizations that were created to meet a certain set of criteria no longer are terribly useful.”  He also added that the Council would call on the help of other departments on a “case by case” basis.

However, there was one quote that got my attention…

The Washington Post said, “New NSC directorates will deal with such department-spanning 21st-century issues as cyber security, energy, climate change, nation-building and infrastructure.”

Climate Change?

Climate Change?

Since when is getting a little warmer/colder a risk to National Security?  If I’m not mistaken, when New York Harbor froze over, NATIONS DID NOT FALL!

“This will save consumers money, this will spur innovation, and this will conserve tremendous amounts of energy,” Barry said.

Not only will it save us money, but it will control our thermostat! I wish Barry would figure this whole thing out in stead of signing lots of pieces of paper ordering us around.
